According the researchers in France, combining wrong fats and too much eating in a person’s diet can lead to obesity and it can be carried through their next generation.
The polyunsaturated fatty acids like omega-3 and omega-6 is very important to have a good health. However, not enough consumption of omega-3 and taking too much omega-6 can cause their offspring to suffer from overweighing.
Scientists come up with this study after they experiment mice planning to mirror the current changes in human diet. The previous four decades, the probability of omega-6 and omega-3 in a normal dieting in Western part was changed from five is to one to 15 is to one in much of Europe, and almost 40 is to one in the United States.
In addition, the average probability of breast milk of American women was dropped from six is to one to 18 is to one. Moreover, there are recent studies that show connection between heart disease and imbalances.
Gerard Ailhaud, a biochemist at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis and one of the author of the research said that this research is the first time that they have show a trans-generational expansion in the case of obesity connected to taking omega.
Ailhuad also added that taking omega six is like fat producing bomb. Moreover, experts vary on whether obesity is more significantly due to the probability of fat in a person’s diet or the trend amount of calories being consumed.
The researchers also recommend that the determination within the threatening of gaining too much weight in the families even it was not hereditary. The connection between obesity and imbalance in omega is likely epigenetic. It refers to the compound process wherein the details are genes are interpreted into chemical activity.
